Flight Blog Ep: 11

By Gisele Dierks

Hello all!

Morningside from the road, with glistening snow and the famous yellow hangar!

Happy Holidays!

Morningside has had several days in the snow now! The park this time of year is always eerily quiet, as we settle in for hibernation until spring!

Gift giving time is almost here, which means gift buying time is in full swing… I’ve been busy on the phones with gift certificates galore. We have tons of gift options for children of all ages: tandem hang gliding, zip lining, laser tag, and lesson packages for hang gliding, paragliding, and powered paragliding. You can also just offer a blank gift certificate for the adventurer to put towards whatever they like.

Dragonfly

Our tug plane has made the trip south for repairs, so we will be ready for towing as soon as the runway thaws in spring.

Early Open

Speaking of which…if all goes to plan, we are trying to be open in April, rather than our typical May first start date. Mostly this will focus on zip lines and laser tag, but we might have a lesson or two happening also. Depending on a lot of things, there is also a chance we may have some winter flying activities, especially if there is interest and support! I personally have some breathing room until mid-February, when I head back to classes. Also, please let me know if you have any Morningside gear ideas/requests for the retail section next year.

If you have any questions, comments, stories, email me! gigi@flymorningside.com

Have an excellent holiday season this year!

Gigi

P.S, Here’s a little winter wonderland video… I recommend viewing it in full screen.
