The Castle is a mountaintop cabin located at the top of Morningside Flight Park between the glider launches. It features a large deck, wide views of the Connecticut River Valley, and a front-row look at gliders launching and flying the ridge.
Inside, the cabin has vaulted ceilings, large windows, one queen bed, one full bed, and a futon, comfortably sleeping 4–6 guests. It’s a good fit for pilots, small groups, and visitors looking for a simple, scenic place to stay close to the action at the flight park.
Before You Book
- The Castle is located at the summit of Morningside Flight Park and is accessible by driving or hiking a steep, one-way mountain road. While four-wheel drive is not typically required, we recommend vehicles with adequate ground clearance and drivers comfortable navigating unpaved roads.
- The cabin features limited solar-powered electricity, suitable for basic lighting and charging small devices. Please note that power availability is limited and not intended for high-demand electrical appliances.
- Guests have access to bathrooms and hot showers located in the hangar at the base of the mountain. There is no running water inside the cabin.
- Advanced reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak flying season, as The Castle is one of our most popular accommodations.
