Q: What is it?
A: Tandem Hang Gliding is hang gliding with an instructor on board an ultralight aircraft called a hang glider. You get pulled up by an airplane called the Dragon Fly to either 2,000′, 3,500′, or a Mile High.

Q: How long does it take?
A: Depends on how high you are going. -2000 ft takes 10-15 minutes. -3500 ft takes 15-25 minutes. -A Mile High takes upwards of 30 minutes. Aside from the actual flight time, there is a short 5-10 minute introduction/ classroom session, and there is always the potential you have to wait for the winds to cooperate for an hour or more.

Q: How high should I go?
A: However high you are the most comfortable with! We want you to have a good time in the air.

Q: What is the age limit? A: 10-100 years old

Q: What is the weight limit?
A: 225 lbs

Q: What should I wear?
A: Anything that will keep you warm in 10-20 degrees colder than ground temperature.

Q: What time is the best?
A: Any time offered is good for either the 2000ft or 3500ft. If you are going on a Mile High Tandem then either 9 am or 6 pm. We try to avoid flying in thermic mid-day conditions.

Q: What is it?
A: Hang gliding is flying in an ultralight unpowered aircraft which can be carried by the pilot. The glider is in a frame and made from sailcloth. Launching is achieved on foot from hills or mountains.

Q: How old do you have to be to take lessons?
A: You should give us a call to discuss your situation, but we generally ask students to be at least 13 years old.

Q: What’s the weight limit?
A: There is some wiggle room on this, depending on your athletic ability and what we have for gear. If you are good at running, and able to lift the glider, we can probably accommodate you. It’s a good idea to give us a call if you weigh more than 250 lbs.

Q: What is an H1?
