 August 29 & 30 Used Gear Blow out Sale!We are cleaning out the closets and have several pieces of gear that we need to move out to make room for new inventory. September  5 & 6 Labor Day Weekend Reserve Parachute Clinic

Need a re-pack? Curious what is inside that little bag? While best left to the professionals, knowing how to re-pack your reserve can be crucial if your are on a trip and things fall apart!  Join us Labor Day weekend as we talk parachutes. We will cover all aspects of HG and PG reserves. You will have a chance to throw your reserve in our simulator and get a fresh repack. Learn about the do’s and don’ts of repacking and become familiar with the process of a quality re-pack. $75 (includes a 2 hour clinic and a fresh re-pack).

September 12 Intro to XC Clinic w/ Tom Lanning.

Cross country (XC) flying for newer pilots is more than just getting up and going far. Tom Lanning, who has a few big flights of his own, knows a thing or two about XC flying in New England and beyond. His clinic covers several topics about XC. Learn about weather considerations, landing zone selection, gear preparation, do’s and don’ts, maximizing your vario and overall strategy to build a quality XC flight. This is essential information for new XC pilots from a master of flying at cloud base. $75 (starts at 10 AM)

September 13 & 14 Instructor Certification Program

We’ll be holding an instructor renewal clinic for all Region 8 and 12 HG and PG instructors. This clinic will satisfy USHPA requirements for all current instructors seeking to re certify. Please call to register.

September 19 & 20 College Weekend

Many area pilots learned at Morningside through a college program. We aim to rekindle the relationships we had with local schools. Our first move is to hold a flying expo in an attempt to showcase the fun and accessibility of our sports to college students. We’re offering deeply discounted activities for anyone with a college ID during our College Weekend. More information to come!

September 26 & 27 Mount Yamaska Fling Trip

In July we had 13 pilots join us for a great weekend of flying at Mount Yamaska. This great drive-up site is located just north of the Vermont border in Canada and has launches in nearly every direction. Let Morningside help with logistics and guiding while you join us on a great weekend getaway. Please call to register. $300 (includes shuttles, camping and membership with Canadian flying association)

October 3 Tree Rescue Clinic

What do you do if you’ve landed in a tree? Ever thought about it? We have and we have designed a kit that covers all the scenarios. We teach you how to use our kit or build your own. This 3 hour clinic is always well attended and great discussion always surrounds this important aspect of one of the pitfalls of flying the forested sites of the northeast. $40 ($200 if you want the tree rescue kit included)

October 10-12  Columbus Day Weekend

The signature event of our summer. Join us for the 41st annual Columbus weekend party. Festivities, flying games, fireworks and a feast. Wrap up the flying season with an all out blowout party at your favorite flight park!

October 18-24   Moab Trip

Let Morningside take you on the adventure of a lifetime. Come with us as we explore Utah and the Canyonlands of the US. Let us shuttle your gear across the states and then join us with our state of the art winch system with 3000′ tows to spectacular vistas in the land of the dinosaurs. Whether you fly Hang Gliders or Paragliders, let us cater to all your flying needs as we free fly and motor the west. Trip itinerary and details to follow.   Cost is $1750 plus airfare to Salt Lake City.
