This introductory course begins with a presentation of history, flight principles, and safety considerations relevant to beginning hang gliding. Students then are suspended in a simulator to become familiar with weight shift and correct posture. After assisting in setup and preflight procedures, we begin level ground training. Ground-handling instruction evolves into a gradual ascent onto the training slope. Several attempts at man’s oldest dream mark the end of this very enjoyable beginning of your personal quest for flight.
